the bad news is, yesterday we had some snow.... and I'm not kidding, it was very strange...
the good news is: the sun is shining today but it's not so warm yet
It depends from where you go: in the Alpes Maritimes, it's colder than in the Var, but we have less wind so it's better to help the sea get warmer

I've seen on TV that it was snowing on the Nice's mountains!

In fact I will go to Palavas, near Montpellier. I don't fear about air temperature because it should be around 24°. But there was not sun enough in the last days to warm the sea water: no swimming this week-end!


I went in Corse on holidays last year and board the ferry at Nice: the place "La baie des anges" is really Nice but it's definitely a pity that there is a 4 lanes road just near the sea and all those plane taking off and landing.
When you are on the beach, you smell the car gas and you hear the noise of the road and of the planes: it's everything but quiet!

Moreover, I slept in a hotel just near the airport: all those prostitutes on the road when the night has come give really a peculiar image of Nice!

Good news from the weather forecast today : the cold-air mass from north pole is leaving France but a new one arrives from Siberia
It was only 5°C early in the morning today in Laval !

So didn't I!
I don't measured the temperature, but it was far too cold to do other think than to walk in the sea. Hopefully, the weather was very nice with up to 28° on monday. Very pleasant with the wind coming from the sea. I wished I could stay, but my boss didn't agree!

Generally speaking, I would say that I appreciate the meditteranean coast in june or september. In july and august there are too many people. You can not take your car because of the incredible traffic jam! I understand why a lot of people living permanently there, will go elsewhere during the holydays...
